An interstate motel has seemingly forgotten that the Internet is all around us now by insisting on maintaining a small, yet essentially pointless, “Internet Lounge”. While motel management believe they are providing a valuable service to their guests, most of the visitors we spoke to seemed confused about how the internet could be contained to one specific area of the building.

One such guest, who requested anonymity, said to The Watsonia Bugle, “An internet lounge? What is this? 2006? All the rooms had Wi-Fi, so what’s with the designated lounge? Maybe that’s just an old sign.”

However, another visitor to the hotel seemed happy with the facility. Jan O’Connor said, “It’s quite useful though isn’t it? I don’t like just using my Internet anywhere, I prefer a designated area. So I can fire up the laptop and check my emails and so forth.”
