A local man visited Edendale Farm with his children over the weekend and is now genuinely considering a career change into the farming industry. Darren Price attended the popular children’s farm on Sunday morning and, after patting a few goats, feeding the chooks, and correctly identifying which guinea pig was which, spent most of yesterday Googling farming-related topics on his work computer.

Speaking exclusively to The Watsonia Bugle about his possible drastic career change, insurance salesman Price said, “It was just so beautiful out there on Sunday morning. The sun was shining, the animals were roaming around, and I felt truly alive for the first time in about five years. Imagine doing that full time? It would be awesome.”

When asked how he would handle the long hours of physical labour, the challenges of drought, the desperate isolation, and the inability to ever go on holiday, Price said, “Well, every job has its challenges. I’m sure I’d find a way around all of that. It always looks like so much fun on those Woolworths ads.”
