Richmond players have reportedly used the bye week before this year’s AFL finals to head to Movie World for a last-minute tune up to their highly evolved acting skills. After drawing multiple headlines during the season for supposedly staging for free kicks, it’s believed the Tigers players saw this week’s acting tutorials as essential preparation ahead of their most important month of footy for the year.
In addition to attending a number of tailored acting workshops, players also caught the daily parade of popular movie characters, before some of the braver members of the group went on a couple of rides. Anonymous staff from the hotel where the Tigers are currently staying said the players returned invigorated from their fun day out.
One staff member said, “They were all really excited when the bus got back to the hotel. Some even headed straight for the pool to try out some of the more elaborate diving methods that they’d learnt. It was kind of nice to see, after being stuck in the hub for much of the season. You know, they were genuinely excited. Like little kids.”
