A Watsonia man has reportedly cracked a cheap bottle of red wine, dialled up some R.E.M. on his Spotify account, and then sat back to feel all the feels. Dave Hamling took his already contemplative mood to the next level last night by choosing such an emotive soundtrack to his evening, and was moved so much that he chose to speak to us about his experience.
Hamling said, “I hadn’t listened to them for ages but for some reason last night I was just really in the mood for their musical stylings. That Michael Stipe is a fucking genius mate. And it’s true what he said: everybody does hurt. Sometimes.”
Reflecting on the experience, Hamling claimed that it truly cleansed his soul. He said, “I feel incredible. It was quite delightful. I’ll be doing that again some time very soon.”
