A local genius has made the salient observation that “They should make every weekend a long weekend, ey?” Watsonia North’s very own Dave Hamilton made the unique declaration this afternoon whilst enjoying an al fresco coffee with his pure-bred pug.

Later speaking to The Watsonia Bugle to clarify his revolutionary suggestion, Hamilton said, “Yeah mate, can you imagine? It’d be ace. Like, seriously, why don’t they just do it?”

When countered by concerns about the economic viability of such a bold plan, Hamilton said, “Who cares mate? Everyone would be happier, so we’d spend more money and that. It’d be great for local businesses. Trust me.”
