A local man is reportedly wracked with confusion over whether a “duck’s nuts” are superior to a “bee’s knees”. Daniel Culbert has performed multiple Google searches on the topic but is yet to find a definitive answer, and now feels unable to use either term until he discovers the answer once and for all.
Speaking exclusively to The Watsonia Bugle, Culbert said, “I honestly just can’t get to the bottom of it. It’s such a nightmare. Obviously a key part of the appeal of both terms is their rhyming, but if you line both of them up together it’s hard to know which one is best. I mean, the duck’s nuts are nuts, so that’s pretty cool, but a bee’s knees play an integral role in that animal’s ability to take flight and to land safely.”
While Culbert admitted that it was unlikely that he could get a definitive answer any time soon, he would attempt to make his own decision on the matter and then choose his preferred term to use from now on instead of using them interchangeably. He said, “I’ve got some serious thinking and research to do. I want to get this right.”
