A local mum has controversially compared a trip to Greensy Plaza with kids to a HIIT workout. Vicky Tasman made the comparison after a particularly challenging shopping expedition over the weekend.
Officially defined as High-intensity Interval Training, HIIT workouts have taken the fitness industry by storm due to a society that is growing increasingly time poor, encouraging participants to embrace quality over quantity in their regular exercise routine. While speaking to The Watsonia Bugle this morning, Tasman remained convinced that a trip to Greensy Plaza with kids was at least the equivalent to a sanctioned HIIT session.
Tasman said, “I’m telling you, it’s got everything. It’s got lifting, sprinting, yelling and high levels of stress. I might not have sweated as much during the shopping trip, but I definitely felt more exhausted at the end of it than a trip to the local gym.”
