A local indoor swimming pool seems to be just naming things what they aren’t in a vain attempt to dupe the public. An eagle-eyed reader alerted us to the misnamed “Beach” at Greensborough recreation centre, suggesting the naming convention was “at best, wishful thinking, but at worst, totally misleading”.

The reader, who requested strict anonymity, told The Watsonia Bugle, “It’s just not on! I mean, if that’s a beach, I’m the King of Sweden. It’s no more a ‘beach’ than my 24-inch flat screen is a home theatre. That joint’s cooked.”
