A local man says he’s been emboldened by news of a recent study that claims 25% of Australian men sit down to pee. Father of two Brian Mansell says the statistics came as a surprise to him, and have given him the courage to speak more openly about his secret habit of regularly sitting down to urinate.
Speaking exclusively to The Watsonia Bugle, Mansell said, “I’m a busy man, so opportunities to sit down for a bit of a rest are few and far between. I’ll take any chance I can get, to be honest. It just feels like a big relief to talk about it now. I’ve been keeping this secret for years. But if it really is 25% of Aussie men, I’m definitely not alone. I think more of my seated brothers should speak up and be proud!”
Mansell’s awakening comes on the back of a YouGov study released earlier this year that suggests 25% of Australian men sit down to pee “every time” and 14% sit “most times”. While a stoic 27% say they “never” sit down to urinate, Mansell reckons they might be stretching the truth. He said, “How many of that 27% are just knuckle dragging dickheads who haven’t got the guts to admit it?”
