Watsonia’s original “Paris End” has flexed its sizeable cultural muscle by erecting a life-sized Tyrannosaurus Rex sculpture. The art installation, which first appeared on Watsonia Road yesterday, is being seen by many local residents as the latest instalment of an ongoing cultural war to crown our suburb’s true “Paris End”.

According to one anonymous local, presumably living outside the OG “Paris End”, the new sculpture is “a bit showy if you ask me. If they really wanted to unite the warring factions of Watsonia, they should’ve built the giant dimmie everyone’s been lusting after all these years.”

And, in an odd twist, short-armed men in the local region are bracing for a whole new raft of T-Rex jokes at their expense. One man said, “This is the last bloody thing I need! It’s bad enough that I can’t reach the top shelf of the pantry without using a step. I don’t need this constant reminder towering over my suburb.”
