Wedding photographers across the Diamond Valley region face an anxious wait around the potential loss of the Eltham train bridge. Any possible removal of the historic bridge will have enormous ramifications for wedding photographers who have used the pillars from the bridge as backdrops for wedding pics for decades. 

As reported in this week’s Diamond Valley Leader, the future of the iconic bridge remains in doubt due to the duplication of the train line between Montmorency and Eltham. Since the news broke, the wedding photographer community has taken to a number of online chat forums to share their concern over the story. 

Local wedding photographer, Shaun Granger, told The Watsonia Bugle, “it’s just such a bankable option, and I’m not sure there’s an equivalent landmark in the area. We have no pier, no decent graffiti walls, and not enough rusting farm machinery close by.”
