A local milk bar is so keen to tell the world they make and sell coffee that they’ve erected a sign saying the word “coffee” no less than three times. While it’s unclear which graphic design company was commissioned to produce the sign, casual observers feel the triple mention of coffee is a bit of overkill.

However, one caffeine addict seen walking out of the milk bar with a hot cup of coffee told The Watsonia Bugle, “I actually found the sign quite helpful. It left me in no doubt that coffee was for sale. I mean, it says ‘coffee’ three times, there’s two actual cups of coffee, and there’s a heap of beans in the background. What more could you want?”

Yet, the clear flouting of the edict “Less is more” wasn’t popular with all customers. Another told us, “It’s a bit much isn’t it? I’m pretty sure one or two mentions would’ve been enough. But three? I love coffee as much as the next person, but that sign is overdoing it IMO.”
