The local media juggernaut, otherwise known as the Diamond Valley Leader, has controversially changed its delivery platform from a traditional newspaper to more of a catalogue/magazine. While the change is seemingly a step in the right direction, the reaction from regular readers has been mixed.

One such reader, Carol Daniels, told The Watsonia Bugle, “I guess it’s the way of the world these days, but it doesn’t mean I have to be happy about it. I just liked things the way they were.”

However, another avid reader, Cameron Frayne, cheekily suggested that the change brought the publication more into line with its intended purpose. Frayne said, “It’s pretty much been an elaborate real estate brochure for the last 20 years anyway, so the catalogue/magazine format just makes sense.”
