A local man has forgotten just how bad the inside of a taxi can smell, having spent the last few years only catching Ubers after big nights out in the city. Ricky Wilson has fully embraced the use of Ubers in recent years, but was forced to catch a taxi over the weekend — immediately taken aback by the smell in the back seat of the taxi he jumped into.

Reflecting on the ordeal, Wilson has told The Watsonia Bugle, “I’d honestly just forgotten. I mean, Ubers have a certain aroma too, but nothing compared to the back of a decade-old taxi. There’s nothing like that sweet combo of stale cigarette smoke, body odour, vomit residue, and farts. Those seats just seem to absorb the smell, and no amount of cleaning would ever remove it.”
