A self-proclaimed food connoisseur from Watsonia is confused by how chicken-flavoured potato chips can be classified as vegetarian. Jerome Dallas recently spotted the anomaly on the packaging of some “Chicken Kebab Flavoured” Pringles, where a small box has been ticked next to the word “vegetarian”.

Speaking to The Watsonia Bugle about his confusion, Dallas said, “What do they mean? Are they saying there’s no chicken in these ‘Chicken Kebab Flavour’ chips? It just doesn’t make sense. What a farce!”

When we suggested that maybe the flavour was achieved via synthetic means, Dallas was unimpressed. He said, “But there’s a picture on the front of the tube that has chicken pieces bursting out of a kebab-like wrap. I can clearly see that. How can they be 100% sure that no chickens were harmed in the making of these delicious chips?”
