While the hype around Egg Boy had seemed to die down in recent weeks, rumours are now swirling that the loveable rogue has signed up for online service provider Airtasker – meaning you can now hire him to egg people that are annoying you. While Egg Boy is yet to officially post his profile on the freelancing website, a source close to the suburban renegade insists that it is happening, and people will possibly be able to arrange public eggings of adversaries by the end of this month.
Melbourne’s very won Egg Boy rose to prominence last month when he controversially egged Senator Fraser Anning who was in town in an attempt to deal with his failing desire to gain relevance on the Australian political landscape. The egging came in response to the inflammatory and tone-deaf comments that Anning had made in the wake of the devastating Christchurch mass-shooting.
At the height of Egg Boy’s popularity there were t-shirts designed, murals painted, and free concert tickets offered and, just recently, the young man was cleared of any criminal charges for the incident with Senator Anning. Feel like ordering an Egg Boy egging of someone that is getting on your nerves? Keep an eye out for the official announcement.
