Australian all-rounder Mitch Marsh has gone to great lengths to earn the respect of our nation’s park cricketers by doing the most park cricketer thing that a cricketer can do. Marsh has reportedly broken his right hand after punching the dressing room wall following his dismissal in a Sheffield Shield match yesterday in Perth.

Just last month, Marsh claimed that while “Most of Australia hate me”, he would continue attempting to win them over. When he uttered those famous words, most observers presumed Marsh meant he would be trying to win the nation’s fans over with his on-field performances.

However, this latest performance seems to indicate that the West Australian is taking a multi-faceted approach to attracting the love and affection of Australia’s cricketing public. And at least one local cricketer says he is now on-board. Pete Jones said, “Mate, how good? First, he took those valuable wickets at The Oval, and now he’s doing stupid shit in the changerooms. I love this. We’ve all caused a bit of damage to ourselves in the sheds after an untimely dismissal, and now Mitch is getting in on the action. I love it.”
