Former AFL footballer Brent “Boomer” Harvey is reportedly very confused about why everyone has been using the dismissive phrase “Okay Boomer” for the last week or so, wondering why everyone seemed to be reluctantly agreeing with him. A source close to the Kangaroos legend said Harvey hadn’t felt this kind of spotlight since his playing days.

Speaking to The Watsonia Bugle, the anonymous source said, “He just kept hearing it all of last week, and couldn’t work out what was going on. I guess it would be quite confusing to read it on social media and hear people using it in passing conversation. At first he thought it was cool, but then he discovered the true meaning of the term, and was less impressed by the coincidence.”

The source also claimed that Harvey would be glad he wasn’t still playing in the game’s elite competition during this landmark moment in an ongoing generational warfare. The source said, “Can you imagine the stick he’d be copping right now if he was still on an AFL list with a whole bunch of millennials? It would be an absolute nightmare.”
