The kangaroos that inhabit nearby Bundoora Golf Courses expansive grounds have been left to ponder why they’re not as Instagrammable as the kangaroos at Yarrambat Golf Course. The challenging introspection comes after Yarrambat’s mob made a recent Top 7 Instagram Spots In Melbourne list, specifically spruiking the close proximity of Yarrambat to Melbourne’s CBD.
While the general aesthetic of the Yarrambat course is widely accepted to be superior to that of the Bundoora course, try telling that to the kangaroos that hop around trying to be loved by the lense. Speaking exclusively to The Watsonia Bugle, an animal welfare officer that works with the Bundoora mob said, “They just can’t get over it. They’ve all been so glum since they found out, and who could blame them. I mean, what’s wrong with Bundy Gold Course?”
And the oversight is not the first time that Bundoora Golf Course has been slighted this year, with news breaking in March that they had again missed out on the coveted annual Top 100 Australian golf courses list. The animal welfare officer, who requested strict anonymity, claimed that the kangaroos needed a win soon, or 2019 would be an absolute write off.
