A cricket fan has momentarily contemplated whether he’s been pronouncing the name “Sachin Tendulkar” incorrectly all this time, after video footage of Donald Trump referencing India’s greatest ever batsman went viral this morning. Watsonia’s resident cricket tragic, Arjun Patel, said the audio of the USA President’s speech at the Motera Stadium in Ahmedabad had caused him to pause for a moment and consider the correct way to say his cricketing idol’s name.

Speaking exclusively to The Watsonia Bugle, Patel said, “It’s all very confusing, I mean what if Trump’s right? I bet not many people thought of that. Even though the way he said ‘Sachin’ sounded more like the name of a Chinese restaurant, I’m just not sure.”

However, another local cricket enthusiast was adamant that Trump was wrong. Travis Fraser said, “Mate, millions of cricket fans around the world can’t all wrong. That Trump bloke is an absolute plonker, there’s no way he’s in the right on this one.”
