A local grandmother is reportedly struggling with common FaceTime protocol during the current social distancing, as her family attempts to stay in contact via the popular video call technology. Family members have already privately complained about Helen Jansen’s camera angles, and one anonymous member contacted The Watsonia Bugle yesterday to go public on the matter.

The anonymous family member said, “Look, I know it’s important to stay connected with family at the moment, but I’m not sure I need to see that far into my 60-year-old mother’s nostrils. I think she’s mainly just calling to maintain contact with her grandkids, but even they’re sick of getting up so close to her.”

The inside source also claimed that Jansen had been told to pull the camera away from her face “on multiple occasions” over the years, but seemed to be actively ignoring those pleas. They said, “I’d stage an intervention with her, but obviously we can’t all be in the same room together. What a nightmare.”
