Stadium officials from Docklands have reportedly claimed that patron attendance at the venue this Good Friday was actually not much lower than previous North Melbourne attempts. Having pushed for years to gain access to playing an AFL match on Good Friday, the Kangaroos have struggled to fully realise the potential of hosting a game on a day when pretty much nothing else happens in Melbourne.

While official attendance figures were not revealed, an inside source from Marvel Stadium said, “Mate, there wasn’t much difference to be honest. Haha, the old Kangas aren’t the biggest drawer at the best of times. And it was super quiet again today. At least it gave us some sense of normality.”
