A local Facebook Community Page member wants a tradie that “doesn’t cost an arm and a leg”, posting a request for recommendations late yesterday. The query is believed to be the first of its kind in that forum, as most posters just request the most expensive service that’s available in the area.
Speaking exclusively to The Watsonia Bugle about her revolutionary request, Rebecca Billings said, “Well, you know, I don’t want to get ripped off, so I thought I’d include that in my post. I can’t believe nobody else had thought of it first. This is a real catch-all remedy, I can’t imagine any tradie out there will try to over-charge now that I’ve put all my cards on the table.”
Proud of her ability to hack into the mainframe, Billings remained shocked her tactic wasn’t more widespread. She said, “Considering about 20% of the discussions on those pages centres around what’s a reasonable price for a certain product or service, it just makes sense to state your situation up front. I don’t want to pay and arm and a leg to have my gutters cleaned, and now I’ve successfully navigated that risk.”
