A recent report has suggested that Mr Tickle, everyone’s favourite long-armed prankster from the Mr Men children’s book series, is actually a bit of a crook unit. The controversial categorisation is based on the penultimate pages of his self-titled book, which suggest that he could surreptitiously get his arm into your room and get a hold of you. The pages, seen below, paint an ominous picture for readers, and send a frightening message to children just before bed time.

While the next page of the book suggests that all Tickle is sneaking his arm into your room for is to tickle you, no explanation is given for why his limb is in your house without your permission. According to trespass law, having extraordinary long arms doesn’t exempt you from being charged with entering a private property without prior consent.

The publishers of the popular Mr Men series did not return our calls.
