Mystery currently surrounds how the North East Link will deal with Watsonia’s very own Bermuda Triangle, that weird little dead-end road near AK Lines where weird stuff always seems to be happening. A popular dumping ground for unwanted household refuse, the site is expected to either be on the new road, or at least very close to it.

According to one local resident, failure to address the mysterious phenomena that often occurs on this site would be a dangerous move. The anonymous resident said, “There’s always weird shit going on in that cul-de-sac, at all hours of the day. I just feel that a failure to acknowledge those paranormal characteristics could be a dangerous move by the North East Link. I mean, where will the people of Watsonia go to dump their rusty old washing machines if that spot is paved over by the new toll road? They’re spending all this money on upgrading sporting facilities, but will they also spend money to provide a new dumping ground for odd household items?”

This is actually not the first time that Watsonia’s very own Bermuda Triangle has made the headlines, with a proposed development on the site floated in 2018 before the full extent of the NEL juggernaut became known. It seems controversy is never far away from both that site and NEL, so we’ll be watching closely to see how this story develops.
