A local man has indulged in a mindless scroll through Facebook’s “People you may know” suggestions, scanning through the tantalising list for a full 10 minutes. And while that might not seem like a long time, that’s actually quite a long time for such a scroll.

Darren Mansell took the deep dive last night, during yet another mindless journey on his Facebook news feed. Speaking to The Watsonia Bugle this morning, he said, “Yeah mate, I just got right in there. You know, I often have a bit of peruse, but I’m so bored right now I decided to delve right in to see what it had for me. It was quite the ride!”

When asked what surprised him the most, Mansell said, “I reckon I probably knew about 40% of the people on there, and the rest were genuine head-scratchers. And even the ones I knew were kind of six degrees of separation. Like, a lot of ‘old mate’s cousin that I met at that wedding five years ago’, and that. Real strange.”
