A visiting tourist has been left underwhelmed by the view from Mount Cooper in Bundoora, claiming it’s one of the worst lookouts in the world. Fraser Hamilton from Far North Queensland said he’d been sold up the river by promises of the “highest natural point in metropolitan Melbourne”.
Speaking exclusively to The Watsonia Bugle after returning from the summit, Hamilton said, “What a fizzer that was, eh? I mean, apart from the fact it’s only 137 metres above sea level, what’s there even to look at? The industrial estate at Thomastown? The weird RMIT building that just stands on its own in Bundoora? Seriously, it was shit.
“Mate, the council are so uninspired by it that they’ve chucked a whole bunch of bins in front of the sign. What a debacle.”
