A local dine-in Maccas enthusiast has complained that he can’t get a park at the Greensborough store, claiming all the designated spots are being taken by “illegal parkers”. Callum Price made the accusation earlier today, still seething from a failed attempt to dine at his favourite restaurant last night.
Speaking exclusively to The Watsonia Bugle, Price said “Call me old fashioned, but there’s nothing quite like sitting down to a nice meal in a restaurant on a Sunday evening. I love it. But far too often I turn up to Greensborough McDonald’s and the car park’s full, but the restaurant is empty. The numbers just don’t add up. The signage in the car park clearly states that only McDonald’s patrons can park there, but I fear some members of the community are taking the piss.”
Short of actually staking out the car park to collect data on its exact usage, Price claimed he’d seen “multiple examples over the years” of people using the convenient car park for everything but visiting McDonald’s for a feed. Perhaps a quick trip into Coles, a cheeky dash to the food court, or maybe a few beers at Liquorland. Price said, “I get it. I mean, those spots are golden, but I just think people are getting too selfish. It’s time they started to think about others before they think about themselves. I’ve just about had enough.”
