A local man has reluctantly conceded his current life stage by leaving his photo ID at home, after more than a decade of not being asked to prove that he is over 18 years of age. Glenn Lipinski made the brave decision on the weekend, and has spent every hour since that moment quietly contemplating the reality that he will never be asked for ID ever again.

Speaking to The Watsonia Bugle about the confronting incident, Lipinski was surprisingly frank. He said, “For years I’d always take me ID with me on a night out. You know, just in case I get asked. But on Saturday night I realised it’s been well over a decade since I was last asked, and I’m unlikely to ever be asked again. The only purpose it would probably serve now would be to gain entrance to an Over 40s night or something like that.”

When asked how that revelation made him feel, Lipinski said, “At first it felt liberating, but then by Sunday morning it was crushing me. Are my best years behind me? I mean, I can still party with the best of them. Age is only a number, yeah? I don’t know. It’s going to be a long week for me I reckon.”
