Cricket enthusiasts across the Watsonia North region are vigorously appealing the fact that the new nets at Binnak Park are permanently locked. While most of the feedback for the new Binnak Park sporting precinct has been overwhelming positive, cricket nerds are up in arms about the lack of access to the state-of-the-art practice facilities.

One such cricket nerd, who requested strict anonymity, told The Watsonia Bugle, “This is bloody ridiculous mate. What’s the point of this whizzbang setup if nobody can use it? It’s like having a Ferrari in the garage, but no keys to start the engine. What a disgrace!”

Continuing with the rant, the anonymous cricketer then said, “But seriously, what’s the point of that if we can’t access it? It’s not like there’s anything in there that needs to be protected. Put simply, it’s just a giant cage with fake grass in it. So it’s no different to any of the other nets facilities that anyone can access.”
